Hello everyone,
This is Whitney Will from StarHearth Astrology. In this episode of the Dually Noded podcast, I'd like to reflect on the recent end of the Mars retrograde period and share some thoughts on the upcoming Venus retrograde. The year now feels like a symbolic handoff between these two influential celestial bodies, and I find it an opportune time to process our experiences and anticipate what's next.
Reflecting on the Mars Retrograde:
Mars retrograde has been personally significant for me, and I'd like to share my journey through it. I've approached this time with a focus on facing pain rather than avoiding it. In my own chart, Mars sits in Libra—a placement that brings challenges—and is a thematic planet for my current year, coinciding with career milestones. Throughout this period, I encountered ways in which my own ambivalence and avoidance have impacted my relationships, underscoring the importance of integration and self-awareness.
A poignant quote from a recent book I read, "The Assassin's Blade" by Sarah Mass, provided a resonant metaphor: the choice to face and integrate pain rather than succumb to despair or anger. This notion has influenced my perspective during the Mars retrograde, nudging me towards growth despite setbacks.
Looking Forward: Transition to Venus Retrograde:
As Mars steps out of its shadow, Venus looms on the horizon, promising a fresh examination of desires and motivations starting March 1st. This retrograde asks us to delve into our hearts, seeking connections beyond mere consumerism, toward a broader magnetism and fate.
In tandem, Mercury enters its retrograde shadow, marking a linked journey of heart, mind, and soul. The slow retreat of Venus into Aries and back into Pisces will be a phase of profound reflection. It sets the stage not only for personal introspection but also for a broader social and cosmic dialogue about desire, purpose, and the collective mission.
Eclipses and Renewal:
Planets aren't the only players; eclipses soon arrive to punctuate this retrograde path. These celestial events will be moments to clear away what no longer serves us and to confront our true desires and commitments. The lunar eclipse on March 13th and the solar eclipse on March 29th guide us through a symbolic renewal phase.
Conclusion:
We are at a pivotal juncture of change, driven by Mars's lessons and Venus's call to align with our "bliss." This time encourages us to dismantle what doesn't serve us, make space for renewal, and clarify our paths. As we navigate these shifts, I'm hopeful that sharing my journey offers some inspiration and guidance in your own celestial reflections.
Thank you for joining me on this exploration of cosmic transitions. Until next time, keep looking up and embracing the mysteries of the universe.
Warm regards,
Whitney
